Run for Art is conceived in 2015 as part of the Amici per lo sport project. The theme of the first edition, Ethics and sport, is declined according to five different perspectives: All sports for all people, Friends in sport, Victory is not just winning, A kick to violence, The courage of the challenge. The European Commission included Run for art 2015 in the first edition of the European Week of Sport.
